Universe Awareness (UNAWE) projects that are funded by the 1.9-million-euro grant that was awarded by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme are branded as European Universe Awareness (EU-UNAWE).
EU-UNAWE is the European branch of the global UNAWE programme. The European Union grant will support the development of UNAWE programmes in six countries over three years: Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Spain. The inclusion of South Africa recognises the close collaboration in the fields of science and technology that the country has developed with the European Union.
Meanwhile, the dedicated work of UNAWE continues, supporting activities in countries around the world and the international network.
